Jennyvi Dizon was selected as one of five designers from Arizona who participated in Vitamin Water’s “Flavor Fashionista Challenge” just last month. Each designer in the challenge was given a Vitamin Water flavor to inspire their design along with a budget of $200. Jennyvi’s flavor of choice was “Go Go”.
“This event was a little different for me,”, said Dizon, “as much as I want to stick with the bridal industry, I realize that I am so much more than a bridal gown designer.” Dizon said she had fun designing for the "Go Go" flavor. "When I was designing my piece, I regained the love I have for color and fun with textiles."
Each designer had the chance to win a prize valued at $3,000. The winning gown, designed by Shantidas Contu-Owen, was determined by live audience text to vote.
The competition was part of the Project Ethos event, which boasted an exciting night of Music, Art and Fashion at Scottsdale’s Axis Radius. Live music was provided by “Snake! Snake!
